Job Summary
The Planting & Seeding Systems Team Lead is responsible for the end-to-end execution of order fulfillment for assigned product lines, including picking, assembly, and packing. This role leads daily production activities, ensures order accuracy and on-time shipment, and drives continuous improvement in workflow, quality, and team performance. The position serves as the primary point of coordination between assembly, warehouse, and order management functions to ensure a seamless flow from order release through shipment.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead daily fulfillment activities including picking, assembly, and packing.
- Ensure orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.
- Monitor order flow and resolve bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with Product Management and Sales on priority orders.
- Assign and balance daily work across team members.
- Provide hands-on leadership during peak periods.
- Train and onboard employees on processes and safety.
- Support team development and performance management.
- Maintain high standards for order accuracy and packaging quality.
- Ensure proper picking, assembly completeness, and labeling.
- Investigate errors and implement corrective actions.
- Promote attention to detail across all fulfillment steps.
- Support and enforce standardized work and SOPs.
- Collaborate with Engineering to improve BOM and workflows.
- Lead initiatives to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
- Support implementation of systems such as barcode scanning and visual management.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This supervisory role includes direct responsibility for Level I
picking team members and, in practice, leadership and support for all Production Center Team Members.
Other Duties
The position will have other duties not specifically defined above that are essential for the overall success of SurePoint Ag.
