General Production Worker

We are hiring a General Production Worker for a manufacturing facility in North Wilkesboro, NC. This is a hands-on production position involving machine operation, material preparation, material handling, and general manufacturing duties.

Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Pay: $18.49/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Location: Onsite

Depending on assignment, duties may include:

• →Prepare and handle materials for production
• →Operate conventional machinery such as lathes, mills, surface grinders, and drill sharpeners
• →Assist with CNC/Komo machine operations
• →Read and understand blueprints and technical drawings
• →Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
• →Perform basic mathematical calculations and measurements
• →Complete preventative maintenance inspections at the beginning of each shift
• →Move, stage, and handle materials throughout the facility
• →Perform general warehouse and production duties as needed
• →Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• →Follow established safety and production procedures
• →Work overtime as needed to meet production and customer demands

• Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or machine operation experience preferred
• Manufacturing experience is not required
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is a plus
• Comfortable learning to use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
• Basic math skills
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to team lift materials weighing more than 50 pounds
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
