We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration / Boiler Room Operator to maintain and monitor refrigeration, boiler, HVAC, and related plant systems in a busy manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have prior boiler operator experience and strong troubleshooting skills. Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly preferred.

  • Pay: $28.92–$33.20 per hour, depending on experience
  • Attendance Incentive: Additional $2.25 per hour
  • Shift: 1st Shift
  • Start Time: 6:00 AM
  • Schedule: Monday–Saturday
  • Hours: May work up to 10 hours per day

Responsibilities

  • →Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain boiler, refrigeration, HVAC, and related plant systems
  • →Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment involving ammonia and other refrigerants
  • →Perform daily inspections and operational checks of refrigeration and plant equipment
  • →Monitor ammonia refrigeration systems, coolers, HVAC systems, and related equipment
  • →Perform scheduled maintenance on evaporators, condensers, and other refrigeration equipment
  • →Monitor, clean, and repair plant systems including condensers and filtration systems
  • →Identify equipment issues and perform repairs to minimize downtime
  • →Change and clean filters as needed
  • →Maintain accurate equipment logs, records, checklists, and other required documentation
  • →Follow OSHA, EPA, GMP, and plant safety requirements
  • →Follow all Lockout/Tagout and other required safety procedures
  • →Request parts and supplies as needed
  • →Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • →Complete required paperwork and maintenance documentation

Requirements

  • Prior boiler operator experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years of refrigeration maintenance or related experience preferred/required
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of plant safety and GMP requirements
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and plans
  • Knowledge of planned maintenance practices
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Basic computer and spreadsheet skills
  • Ability to complete work and purchase requests
  • RETA Level 1 Industrial experience preferred
  • Must be able to work scheduled hours and required overtime
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, climb, and reach
  • Ability to work around machinery and moving equipment
  • Ability to work in cold, wet, hot, humid, and noisy environments
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing/production facility
