Patient Services Representative PRN

• High School diploma required
• Minimum of one year’s experience in a hospital or outpatient billing, insurance verification, collections, payment posting and front office experience
• Proficient in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

1. →Scheduling all walk-ins accurately in the hospital EMR system.
2. →Register and check in patients upon arrival, ensuring smooth intake process.
3. →Completes new patient registration in hospital EMR system with precision and attention to detail.
4. →Performs daily reporting in the hospital EMR systems; Collect co-pays, post to respective patient accounts and issue receipts through hospital EMR system
5. →Ensures all documentation is complete, accurate and compliant with organizational standards.
6. →Verifies insurance, obtains authorizations as required
7. →Assembles and distribute new patient information packets. Scans registration documents into the appropriate EMR system
8. →Uphold cleanliness and organization within the facility
9. →Assumes any other responsibilities that may be assigned by supervisor
