Are you an experienced leader with a passion for operational excellence, people leadership and building trusted client relationships? 
 
As Critical Facilities Director, you will lead our Critical Facilities organization and serve as the senior operational partner for one of our most important clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of critical infrastructure while driving operational excellence, developing the organization and maintaining a strong, long-term client 
relationship.
 
This is a senior leadership role where success is measured not only by operational performance, but by your ability to develop people, strengthen collaboration with the client and continuously improve the business.

Working closely with the client, internal stakeholders and external service partners, you will ensure that our operations consistently deliver the highest standards of reliability, safety and service.
 
The Role
 
As Critical Facilities Director, you will provide both strategic and operational leadership for our Critical Facilities organization. You will lead through your managers and technical specialists, ensuring that the organization delivers operational excellence while meeting the client's business goals and expectations.You will act as the trusted operational advisor to the client, coordinating across internal teams and external suppliers to ensure seamless service delivery. This role requires a leader who combines technical credibility with strong business acumen, excellent communication skills and the ability to achieve results through people.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Leadership
• Lead and develop the operations organization, creating an environment focused on strong leadership, people development and high performance.
• Build a culture centered on safety, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Ensure the organization has the capabilities and competencies required to support both current operations and future business needs.
• Drive organizational development and operational excellence across the business.
• Recruit, develop and retain high-performing leaders and technical teams.
 
Client Relationship
• Serve as the primary executive point of contact for the client regarding operational and business matters.
• Build and maintain a trusted, long-term relationship through proactive communication and operational excellence.
• Lead operational and business review meetings with the client.
• Ensure transparent communication and effective stakeholder management across the client's organization.
• Understand the client's business objectives and translate them into operational priorities.
• Act as the bridge between the client, internal teams and external service providers to ensure seamless delivery.
• Ensure a consistently high level of client satisfaction through collaboration, responsiveness and continuous improvement.

Operations
• Provide overall leadership for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of critical facilities.
• Ensure high availability through structured maintenance programs, operational planning and risk management.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance strategy for critical electrical, mechanical and life safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, industry standards, company procedures and client requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on resilience, efficiency and operational performance.
• Lead operational response during critical incidents and ensure effective business continuity planning.

Financial & Vendor Management
• Own operational budgets and financial performance.
• Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities for optimization while maintaining service quality and operational reliability.
• Lead strategic supplier and contractor management, ensuring high-quality delivery and contractual compliance.
• Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and vendor performance.
• Support investment planning and capacity planning aligned with operational and business requirements.
 
Experience & Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced leader with a background in critical environments such as data centers, critical infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, energy, manufacturing or similar industries.  You have a proven ability to lead technical organizations while balancing operational excellence, commercial priorities and client expectations. Ideally, you bring:
• Significant leadership experience within technical operations or other critical environments.
• Experience leading managers and multidisciplinary technical organizations.
• Strong business acumen with responsibility for budgets, financial performance and operational planning.
• Demonstrated success in managing senior client relationships and complex stakeholder environments.
• Solid understanding of extensive electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Experience managing suppliers, outsourced services and contractual performance.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage technical specialists, senior leadership and client executives.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Danish language skills are considered an advantage.
