The Environmental Health and Safety Manager is responsible for managing the development and consistent implementation of safety, health, and environmental compliance programs across the portfolio.


Responsibilities

  • Write and develop Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs for the portfolio as needed.

  • Lead a team of Health & Safety professionals to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as client requirements.

  • Develop the Environmental Health & Safety vision, strategy, and policies, including T5FM’s Electrical Safety Work Program (ESWP), and ensure employee engagement for successful implementation.

  • Develop effective EHS and ESWP programs, analyze performance data, and adjust programs as needed to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Implement subcontractor safety management programs including EHS orientation, ongoing evaluation, and jobsite observations.

  • Coordinate the implementation of company initiatives including contract deliverables, traffic/vehicle safety, electrical safety, and health initiatives.

  • Develop predictive risk analysis programs to identify hazards and implement preventative actions to mitigate potential health and safety concerns.

  • Determine appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track performance against targets and objectives.

  • Deploy safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental processes that demonstrate continuous improvement toward preventing accidents, eliminating hazards, and minimizing environmental impact.

  • Oversee inspections, audits, and site reviews with clients as well as local and state regulatory and security agencies.

  • Travel may be required up to 40%.


  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required

  • Certification as a CSP, CIH, CPEA, or CHMM preferred


    • Thorough understanding of all relevant safety rules and regulations

    • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate employees to achieve long-term vision while adjusting to daily challenges

    • Ability to challenge, explain, and defend safety programs with diplomacy

    • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail

    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to coach and train others
