Job Description
Trusted Space is seeking a Senior Software Developer with a bachelor’s degree or higher and 8+ years’ experience to join our team. Candidates will design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications. The ideal candidate has experience with modern C++ or Rust, object-oriented design, debugging, and optimizing complex systems, and works effectively in a collaborative, agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supports product milestone objectives to include software development in a collaborative unclassified environment.
Assists in the review and evaluation of systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety.
Leading a small team of high performing developers across the full software development lifecycle.
Comfortable contributing to Rust applications.

Qualifications

United States citizenship required.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
8+ years in software engineering or related experience.
3+ years of experience with Rust or C++ (preferably C++11 or newer).
Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments (Mostly Linux).

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience with Agile Methodology.
Experience with database programming (e.g. MongoDB).
Experience with containerization (e.g. Docker).
Experience with Rust or C++ (C++20 or newer).
Experience developing software for embedded or real-time applications (space or aerospace/industrial controls preferred).
Knowledgeable in satellite systems, ground-based mission systems or mission operations.
An active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $225,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary. Trusted Space, LLC considers several factors when extending an offer including, but not limited to: scope, location, position responsibilities, education/training, key skills and business considerations.
