About the Role
We are looking for a strategic, data-driven, and hands-on Senior Manager, Account Management to lead and scale Taager’s merchant portfolio across multiple markets.
This role is responsible for driving merchant growth, retention, profitability, and operational excellence. You will lead a team of Account Managers responsible for helping merchants grow their businesses, increase order volume, improve profitability, and maximize their success on the Taager platform.
As a key business leader, you will act as the bridge between merchant needs and Taager’s internal teams, ensuring sustainable growth while delivering an exceptional merchant experience.
What You Will Do
- Merchant Growth & Portfolio Management
- Own the growth strategy for Taager’s merchant portfolio across different segments.
- Drive GMV growth, confirmed orders, delivered orders, and merchant profitability.
- Develop and execute growth plans for high-potential merchants.
- Monitor merchant performance and proactively identify opportunities for growth, retention, and reactivation.
- Build merchant segmentation frameworks to optimize resource allocation and maximize business impact.
- Partner with Acquisition and Activation teams to ensure smooth merchant onboarding and successful handover.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing Account Management team.
- Define clear KPIs, productivity standards, and performance expectations.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and career development planning.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, customer obsession, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure consistent execution of merchant growth strategies and best practices across all markets.
- Merchant Retention & Operational Excellence
- Monitor merchant health indicators and proactively address churn risks.
- Drive merchant retention and reactivation initiatives.
- Act as the Voice of the Merchant by identifying recurring challenges and growth opportunities.
- Partner with Product, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Service teams to improve merchant experience and business outcomes.
- Oversee the resolution of complex merchant escalations and operational challenges.
- Commercial & Strategic Initiatives
- Own merchant incentive frameworks and growth programs.
- Analyze merchant cohorts and business performance to identify scalable growth opportunities.
- Lead strategic initiatives that improve portfolio performance, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Support business planning, forecasting, and performance reviews through data-driven insights.
- Identify market trends, competitive opportunities, and merchant needs to support future business growth.

What Will Make You Successful
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Account Management, Sales, Business Development, Merchant Success, or a related field.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
- Proven track record of driving revenue, GMV growth, retention, and profitability.
- Experience managing large merchant portfolios within e-commerce, marketplaces, social commerce, dropshipping, or digital businesses.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and BI tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance growth and profitability.
Preferred
- Experience managing multi-country teams.
- Experience working in high-growth startup or scale-up environments.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, e-commerce operations, and social commerce ecosystems.
- Experience leading cross-functional strategic projects.
