About the Role

Join us as a Horticulture Teacher and play a key role in cultivating the knowledge, skills, and passion of tomorrow’s industry professionals.

This role is more than delivering training - this is an opportunity to inspire the next generation of Horticulture professionals by delivering nationally recognised qualifications that lead to rewarding careers. Through your industry expertise, you’ll guide learners as they develop the practical skills and confidence to create thriving gardens, landscapes, and green spaces.

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Hold appropriate subject knowledge and skills and hold a minimum of Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent. (Equivalent qualifications include Certification III in Parks and Gardens or Landscape construction).
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five (5) years previously.
  • Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document here for details.
  • Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence
