Merchandise Planner

Talpa Supermercados is looking for a Merchandise Planner to join our CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting & Replenishment) team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being in the stores, working with merchandise, solving problems, and making sure products are available, properly displayed, organized, and ready for our customers.

As a Merchandise Planner, you will serve as an important connection between our corporate planning teams and our stores. You will help turn merchandising and replenishment plans into strong execution at the store level—while providing the team with accurate information about what is actually happening on the sales floor.

In this role, you will:

• →Visit Talpa store locations regularly to review product availability, shelf conditions, displays, and merchandising execution.
• →Help identify and report out-of-stocks, excess inventory, shelf gaps, and inventory discrepancies.
• →Design, prepare, execute, and monitor planograms and in-store displays.
• →Work with vendors to ensure approved planograms and merchandising standards are properly executed.
• →Recommend improvements to product placement, store space, and displays.
• →Support product replenishment and organization on the sales floor.
• →Monitor external merchandising companies and help ensure their work meets Talpa's expectations.
• →Work with DSD vendors to verify that agreed-upon replenishment activities are completed.
• →Capture photographs, inventory information, and other store-level observations using company tools.
• →Report issues, escalate concerns when appropriate, and follow assigned action items through completion.
• →Partner closely with CPFR/Replenishment, Purchasing, Category Management, Store Operations, store leadership, vendors, and merchandising partners. 

We are looking for someone who is organized, observant, dependable, and comfortable working independently in an active retail environment.

• Professional, technical, or associate-level education in Business Administration, Logistics, Operations, Retail, Inventory Management, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in supermarkets, retail, replenishment, merchandising, planning, store operations, inventory, or point-of-sale execution.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Comfortable using mobile applications and company systems to capture and report information.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable personal transportation and the ability to travel frequently between Talpa store locations.

• Experience with supermarket or retail replenishment and product availability.
• Experience with physical inventory processes.
• Experience creating or executing planograms, displays, or merchandising programs.
• Experience working with operational metrics or databases.
• English language skills are preferred but not required. 

Success in this role means scheduled store visits and assigned activities are completed consistently, operational reporting is accurate and timely, planograms and displays are executed correctly, issues are escalated quickly, and follow-up items are brought to closure. 

This position works in a hybrid environment between Talpa's corporate office and our store locations. Frequent travel between stores is an important part of the role, and the position includes regular store walkthroughs, merchandising activities, standing, walking, and hands-on product verification and replenishment. 

This position provides an opportunity to build experience across merchandising, replenishment, CPFR, store operations, inventory, and planning, with potential career progression into roles such as Senior Merchandise Planner, CPFR Analyst, CPFR Leader, Merchandise Planning Manager, or broader Supply Chain and Merchandising leadership.
