Job Summary:
This role is responsible for providing clerical support for acquiring, tracking, controlling, and disposing of the College’s fixed assets and maintaining related asset records.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Performance Requirements* ⦁ Follows College procedures and state guidelines for the acquisition, maintenance, and disposition of fixed assets and associated asset records ⦁ Maintains fixed asset records by adding new acquisitions, reviewing and processing equipment transfer requests, and preparing and processing equipment disposal requests ⦁ Locates and enters new equipment acquisitions into the fixed asset database and calculates asset acquisition values from itemized invoices using spreadsheets and mathematical computations ⦁ Identifies and properly affixes asset tags to designated assets and controlled equipment, replaces tags as needed, and maintains asset records ⦁ Performs field inventories by physically locating and identifying assets, updates asset records within the asset database using mobile technology, reconciles counts to records, investigates discrepancies, and prepares loss reports for appropriate leaders ⦁ Assists in locating missing assets, performing equipment transfers, reconciling exceptions, and providing summaries and status reports of pending exceptions ⦁ Assists in the organization of surplus property sales ⦁ Communicates effectively and maintains positive working relationships with faculty, staff, and College leadership regarding asset management activities
Service Excellence ⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite ⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College (TCC) Institute ⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision Works under the supervision of the assigned department leader

⦁ Knowledge of office environments and the use of standard office equipment ⦁ Skilled in maintaining accurate records and documentation ⦁ Skilled in organization and attention to detail ⦁ Skilled in using enterprise systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Forms, and Teams ⦁ Skilled in providing excellent customer service and interpersonal support ⦁ Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as multiplication, division, and percentages ⦁ Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment ⦁ Ability to follow established procedures and maintain accuracy while managing multiple tasks ⦁ Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and College leadership regarding asset management activities ⦁ Ability to identify discrepancies and assist in resolving asset inventory and recordkeeping issues

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds unassisted, or up to 50 pounds with the assistance of other employees or equipment as appropriate. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Duties require regular travel between College campuses, facilities, warehouses, and off-site locations to conduct inventories, verify assets, perform asset tagging activities, and support asset management operations.
