Senior Application Support Specialist
Minimum Experience: Ten years of related experience.
Functional Description: Prepares and edits technical material, including operations and maintenance manuals, software and system documentation, and other technical publications. Coordinates efforts of technical artists, illustrators, editors, and writers in preparing documents for internal and external distribution. Conducts technical research and collaborates with technical professionals. May write manuals and documentation at user level, technical support level, or both. Works independently with minimal direct supervision from the Program/Project Manager. Answers phone calls and helps customers resolve their application problems. Understands and uses various custom applications to support customers. Configures and arranges online meetings (MS Teams or Zoom experience is a plus). Other administrative duties as assigned by the Division Manager. Plays an integral part in maintaining the mission statement of providing outstanding customer service. Learns new technologies quickly, understands and communicates requests as they relate to infrastructure. Maintains professional, positive, and friendly customer service attitude at all times. Demonstrates excellent communications skills; written, verbal and listening.
Minimum Education: BA/BS in related field. Master’s degree can be substituted as 4 years of experience
Personnel Security Requirements All contractors supporting ASH systems, resources, or information must meet the background investigation requirements outlined in FAA Order 1600.1 (Personnel Security Program) and FAA Order 1600.72 (Industrial Security Program). Due to the sensitive nature of the work performed by ASH, all contractor positions are designated as high-risk positions. As such, all contractor personnel must be willing to undergo an FAA background investigation and complete the following forms:
- SF-85P – Questionnaire for Public Trust
- FD-258 – FBI Fingerprint Card
- DOT Form 1631 – Disclosure and Authorization Pertaining to Consumer Reports Pursuant to the Fair Credit Reporting Act
In addition, contractor personnel supporting ASH classified functional areas, operations, or facilities will be required to complete SF-86 forms in order to obtain a national security clearance. The contractor company itself will also be required to maintain a Top-Secret facility security clearance
