Office Engineer (Transportation)

Techno is looking to hire an Office Engineer to support construction operations on transportation infrastructure projects within the Long Island area. This position plays a central role in maintaining project documentation, supporting field teams, and ensuring contract administration processes run efficiently.

• →Maintain and organize all project documentation including correspondence, reports, and contract records
• →Track quantities, payments, and contractor submissions to support progress estimates
• →Assist with preparation and processing of change orders, RFIs, and contract modifications
• →Manage submittals, shop drawings, and document control workflows
• →Support scheduling updates and monitor project milestones and deliverables
• →Coordinate communication between field staff, contractors, and project stakeholders
• →Ensure compliance with project procedures, documentation standards, and reporting requirements
• →Utilize digital systems for tracking, reporting, and recordkeeping
• →Assist with project closeout documentation and final records compilation

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or NICET certification.
• 3–7 years of experience in construction administration, office engineering, or project coordination
• Experience supporting transportation or public infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with contract documentation, change management, and payment tracking
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with SiteManager or similar construction management systems preferred.
• Prior experience working on New York State Department of Transportation (Region 10) projects highly beneficial.
• EIT certification is a plus
