Laser Etch Technician I - 1st Shift - Warsaw

The Laser Etch Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting, engraving, and marking machines. They must ensure that each machine is performing safely and accurately, while also troubleshooting and repairing any issues that arise. They must also be able to interpret customer specifications, program the machines accordingly, and provide test samples to customers. The Laser Technician must be knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of the machines, have excellent communication and customer service skills, and able to work with a variety of materials.

• →Validates parameters for the machines.
• →Upload into revision control retrieval program
• →Import computer files as needed.  
• → Program different features.
• →Set-up laser equipment according to blueprint specifications and precise measurements.   Run parts on the laser to meet specifications.
• → Utilize micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments to perform measurements when making set-ups and to ensure that parts meet specifications.  
• →Work to improve set-up methods to improve productivity and quality.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be required to stand. The employee could frequently be required to walk; use hand to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee could be required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee could occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job could include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
