Role Profile The role is responsible for owning and scaling Telecel Cash’s payment and platform ecosystem, with direct accountability for revenue growth, partner expansion, and product adoption.This role drives the commercialization of Open APIs, Merchant Payment Solutions (Nano to Enterprise), and Bulk Disbursement platforms, positioning Telecel Cash as the preferred financial operating system for businesses in Ghana.The role will lead the development of an integrated digital marketplace across the Telecel Play App and USSD channels, enabling businesses to seamlessly collect payments, disburse funds, and access third-party services. Key Responsibilities •Identify and drive new revenue opportunities across emerging payment technologies including digital currencies (CBDCs, stablecoins), blockchain, and open banking •Build and scale a digital marketplace within Telecel Play App and USSD by integrating fintech and merchant services •Develop and launch low-barrier payment solutions tailored for nano and micro merchants to drive daily transaction volume •Lead engagement with fintechs, banks, and third-party providers to structure and execute commercially viable partnerships •Drive expansion of physical and virtual POS acceptance through strategic alliances and targeted acquisition initiatives •Support high-value negotiations and ensure timely closure of strategic deals •Define and execute the commercial strategy for Open APIs, focusing on monetization, ecosystem stickiness, and developer adoption •Track and optimize API performance across usage, revenue, and partner activity •Own the growth and scalability of bulk payment solutions including salaries, vendor payments, and corporate disbursements •Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management from ideation to launch and continuous optimization •Drive go-to-market strategies for payment solutions •Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, SLAs, and internal governance frameworks •Ensure full compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements throughout product design and implementation processes. Core Competencies •Strong strategic thinking with a deep understanding of fintech ecosystems and platform businesses •Commercial mindset with the ability to translate data into revenue-generating opportunities •Proven negotiation and stakeholder management skills across complex partner environments Education & Experience •Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or related field; MBA is an advantage •Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fintech or financial services •At least 3 years in product management or commercial leadership with demonstrable revenue impact
