Dispatch Coordinator

We are growing and are currently seeking an experienced Dispatch Coordinator to join our team TODAY.

The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day coordination of freight movement from pickup through delivery. This role works closely with dispatch, drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure loads are entered accurately, tracked effectively, and completed with the required documentation for billing.

This is a fast-paced role that requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized while managing multiple priorities.

• →Coordinate freight movement from order entry through delivery
• →Enter and update loads accurately within the dispatch system, Axon
• →Communicate with drivers regarding load details, updates, paperwork, and delivery status
• →Monitor shipments and follow up on delays, service issues, or missing information
• →Communicate with customers regarding load status and service updates
• →Assist with pre-planning freight, reloads, and backhauls to support equipment utilization
• →Ensure PODs and required documentation are received and completed for billing
• →Work closely with dispatch, operations, and billing teams to support smooth freight execution
• →Support coordination of LTL, flat deck, and occasional oversized or overweight shipments
• →Maintain accurate records and provide administrative support to the dispatch team
• →Build and maintain strong customer and driver relationships

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, or operations coordination
• Experience in the trucking/transportation industry is required
• Strong understanding of LTL and flat deck operations is considered an asset
• Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations is considered an asset
• Experience with Axon or a similar dispatch system is preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving ability
• Experience with Microsoft Office
