Full-Time Overnight Direct Support Professional (11pm-9am)

Keep the Home Safe, Supported, and Ready for the Day Ahead

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking Overnight Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide awake overnight support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in residential homes in Ocean County, New Jersey.

Overnight staff play an important role in maintaining continuity of care when the rest of the household is asleep. You'll remain awake and attentive throughout the 11:00 PM–9:00 AM shift, monitor individual well-being, respond to needs and unexpected situations, complete required documentation, and help prepare the home and individuals for the morning.

This position is well suited to someone who is dependable, observant, comfortable working independently, and committed to creating a safe and respectful home environment.

• →High School Diploma or GED required.
• →Valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing with no more than five (5) motor vehicle points.
• →Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment during emergency situations.
• →Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting or assisting with up to 50 pounds, providing mobility support, and completing household responsibilities.
• →Strong communication, reliability, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• →Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.
