You’ll partner with HR, payroll, vendors, and executive leaders on strategy, compliance, education, and process improvement in a hospitality-driven environment.
This role also involves hands-on experience with a major benefits vendor transition and ongoing enhancements to our benefits platform, including exposure to implementation, change management, and transformation efforts. Supported by strong leadership and collaborative teams, the Senior Benefits Analyst will have the opportunity to grow while improving the associate experience.
Reporting to the Benefits Director, the Senior Benefits Analyst is responsible for the administration, compliance, analysis, and continuous improvement of the Company’s health and welfare and retirement programs. This role serves as a subject matter expert for benefit operations and compliance, including 401(k) administration and Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting and tracking. The Senior Benefits Analyst partners closely with HR, Payroll, HRIS, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to ensure accurate administration, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and a positive employee experience. This role also plays a key part in data analysis, reporting, process improvement, and system optimization initiatives. This hybrid role is based out of our Irving, TX home office and requires a minimum of two days per week in office (typically Tuesday and Thursday).
· Administer day-to-day operations of health and welfare, and retirement programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA, PTO, and 401(k) plans
· Lead the annual Open Enrollment including system testing, communications, plan updates, employee education, and vendor coordination
· Serve as a primary point of contact for complex employee benefit questions, escalations, and issue resolution while delivering a high level of customer service
· Review and process benefit-related invoices and support monthly reconciliations and reporting activities with Finance
· Manage and support 401(k) administration activities including eligibility, audits, annual notices, payroll coordination, nondiscrimination testing support, and vendor management
· Coordinate ACA compliance activities including eligibility tracking, measurement periods, reporting validation, and support for annual 1094/1095 reporting requirements
· Partner with HRIS and vendors to support benefit integrations, file feeds, and system enhancements
· Perform regular audits of benefit enrollments, payroll deductions, eligibility files, and vendor data to ensure accuracy and compliance
· Partner closely with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely benefit deductions, contributions, and adjustments
· Utilize strong Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, lookups, reconciliations, and reporting tools to produce reports, metrics, and audit analysis
· Manage relationships HR Business Partners, managers, benefit vendors and other key stakeholders across the organization and serve as a liaison for escalations, service issues, and operational improvements
· Support compliance activities including Form 5500 preparation, annual retirement plan audits, nondiscrimination testing, and required notices
· Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance employee experience, and increase operational efficiency through automation and standardization
Required
· 5 years of progressive experience in benefits administration or benefits compliance
· Demonstrated experience supporting 401(k) administration and ACA compliance activities
· Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to employee benefits including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and retirement plan compliance.
· Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, reconciliations, and data analysis/reporting
· Experience working with third-party benefit administration vendors and carriers.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service mindset
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced hybrid environment
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Preferred
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
· Experience supporting Oracle HCM Cloud and/or ADP Enterprise
· Experience with benefits integrations, reporting, and process automation initiatives
· CEBS, CBP, PHR, SHRM, or related certification preferred
· Spanish speaking preferred
