Job Purpose 

The Group Senior Compliance and Data Privacy Manager provides the dedicated, full-time resource required to meet evolving customer, financial institution and government expectations regarding adequate compliance organizations and resources. Ensures DP World’s data privacy program adheres to applicable data privacy regulations (UAE, UK, EU, China, India, etc.), while actively supporting Group initiatives. Establishes global policies and procedures across Anti-Corruption, Anti-Trust and Economic Sanctions to ensure effective Group Compliance. 

Supports DP World in conducting business with integrity and full compliance with laws, regulations, internal policies and best industry practices. 

Key Accountabilities 

  • Evaluate, interpret and proactively communicate compliance-focuse
  • d laws and regulations and their practical impact. 
  • Develop, implement and maintain a fit-for-purpose, risk-based data privacy program. 
  • Draft policies and standard operating procedures aligned to data privacy regulations. 
  • Provide guidance across anti-corruption, anti-trust, economic sanctions and ethics matters. 
  • Execute compliance risk assessments and oversee improvement plans. 
  • Support the Head of Group Compliance in implementing compliance controls and processes. 
  • Deliver data protection and compliance training and updates. 
  • Coordinate and monitor compliance with Group global policies across business units. 
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports and address compliance requests. 
  • Act as a DP World ambassador and perform other related duties as assigned. 

 

Job Context 

Senior member of the DP World Group Compliance team providing trusted compliance and regulatory advice. Role primarily based at Regional Head Office with travel as required by business needs. 

 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred in business administration, finance, law or related field. 
  • JD, LLM or equivalent legal qualification is an advantage. 
  • Minimum 7–10 years’ experience as a compliance manager or officer in a multinational organisation. 
  • Extensive experience with UAE, UK, EU, China, India and other applicable data protection laws. 
  • Certified compliance professional certification (e.g., CIPP) is a plus. 
  • Experience in change management and implementing new tools and processes. 

 

Skills 

  • Highly ethical, principled and diligent with strong planning skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail. 
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional and global teams. 
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives independently. 
  • Strong capability to champion comprehensive compliance and ethics programmes. 
  • Proficient computer skills. 

    Duration - 8 to 9 months Maternity Cover Role
