P&O Ferries are recruiting a Host/Hostess (on call) to join our Tourist check in team based at our Office in Europoort.
Key responsibilities and duties:
• You will efficiently check in our car passengers and/or foot passengers for the journey to Hull, naturally with a smile on your face;
• You will welcome, register and direct visitors;
• Handle the administrative preparations for the evening crossing;
• Sell bus tickets to and from Amsterdam and Rotterdam and process any other (outstanding) payments;
• Check the validity and authenticity of passports and other travel documents;
• Deal with any issues and (minor) complaints from passengers.
The ideal candidate will:
• A driving licence and your own transport;
Experience in a similar role (hospitality, aviation, catering);
• Flexible working hours, with availability on varying days and times, including weekdays during the day (morning shifts), evenings and weekends;
• Good communication skills and a good command of English and Dutch. Proficiency in German is an advantage;
• Proficient with systems;
• Service- and customer-oriented, accurate and flexible.
Terms of employment:
• An hourly wage conform CBA, including a shift allowance;
• An independent and varied role within an exciting, dynamic and internationally operating organisation with a strong reputation in the market, where initiative and responsibility are valued;
• A varied rota from Monday to Sunday (working hours to be agreed upon). Shifts take place in the morning (approx. 09:00 – 13:00), afternoon and evening (approx. 16:00 – 20:00), as well as at weekends. We are looking for colleagues who are flexible and also regularly available during the day on weekdays;
• The opportunity to join a close-knit, committed team within an open and informal working atmosphere where everyone pitches in;
• Dutch collective labour agreement with good terms of employment.
