Content and Communications Manager
Quick Summary
We are looking for an experienced and versatile Content and Communications Manager with proven experience in the hospitality and/or property development industry to effectively manage the complementary responsibilities of content marketing and communications - public relations for Orchid Development and its portfolio of real estate, hospitality, and wellness brands. Collaborating directly with the team leaders in each division and reporting to the owners, the Content and Communications Manager will build and maintain a strong, consistent, and positive brand presence through a wide range of online and offline channels to increase awareness, drive new business and build community.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and manage annual marketing and communications plans for Cricket Square, The Brasserie and associated F&B outlets, and The Club to achieve annual objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop results focused integrated content, communications programs and a vibrant annual events calendar.
- Lead these programs from ideation to implementation, leveraging internal support and ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging in all channels.
- Analyse customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to identify marketing opportunities.
- Analyse and report on the efficacy of campaigns and adjust accordingly.
- Support commercial and residential leasing team with preparing property presentations.
- Develop an online presence for commercial and residential properties to promote vacant space and listings.
- Review and approve all brand communications and output to ensure consistency and to catch off-brand messages.
- Formulate a cross-platform content strategy and manage content calendar, including websites, email, and social media.
- Manage and monitor digital marketing strategies.
- Liaise with media and handle requests for interviews, statements, etc.
- Write, edit, proofread, and update content.
- Provide writing support to internal teams.
- Work alongside team leaders to plan and organize events.
- Establish and maintain relationships with tourism, community, and public interest groups.
- Develop and maintain an up-to-date library of creative materials and assets, including photography, videography, and printed materials.
- Manage marketing department operations, including budget administration, team supervision and development, and reporting.
- Supervise external creative agencies on all marketing projects.
- Develop creative briefs and guide creative direction for all projects.
- Light graphic design work, photography and video/reels.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years prior experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in hospitality/F&B marketing is desired
- Experience with and a keen interest in social media and digital platforms
- Experience working with senior management teams, local media, and third-party vendors
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop and deliver engaging marketing campaigns and ideas whilst being savvy with resources and a creative problem solver
- Persuasive written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create clear, confident copy for various uses
- Strong organizational skills and able to manage numerous projects at once while seamlessly handling inbound requests from colleagues and leaders
- You are not afraid of the hustle. We are a small team, so for the most part, it is an all-hands-on-deck environment. Success means rolling up your sleeves and embracing what comes your way with enthusiasm, and while you need to be self-motivated you are also a team player.
- Comfortable with public speaking and being interviewed on camera
- A knack for data analysis
- Hands-on experience with marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics and content management systems
- An eye for photography and design
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Applicants must provide two verifiable references and a valid police clearance issued within the past six months. The successful candidate will be required to work 45 hours per week.
