The hourly range pays up to $30.00 an hour, based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors. In addition to a competitive base salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
The Combination Welding Instructor is accountable for ensuring students receive quality education through effective in- class instruction, hands-on training, and up-to-date learning materials and resources.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Teach classes as assigned on a regular, scheduled basis as assigned and create a welcoming environment for students conducive to learning.
- →Assist Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education, or Campus Executive Director in developing curriculum, preparing course materials, and scheduling.
- →Establish and maintain academic and attendance records for student files.
- →Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and lab.
- →Submit attendance, grades, student evaluation and all other required documents/reports per established procedures.
- →Notify Supervisor of any potential issues that may require immediate attention.
- →Actively utilize proven retention techniques approved by the school.
- →Complete performance-based teacher education modules as assigned by Supervisor and/or campus management, as needed based on outcomes of classroom observations, instructor evaluations, and student-completed surveys.
- →Assist with the department equipment and supplies inventory and submit purchase requests accordingly and as needed.
- →Assist with the maintenance and utilization of equipment used in the program.
- →Attend and/or conduct in-service training, faculty meetings or other mandatory meetings.
- →Alert Supervisor to student absences, especially on first, third and fifth absence occurrences.
- →Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
~2 min read- Required to pass 3G and 4G weld tests in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) at interview.
- Applicants must also successfully complete a 3/8” single bevel groove plate test with backing in both the 3G and 4G positions. The welds must pass a visual inspection before undergoing and passing a bend test.
- American Welding Society (AWS) certification (testing/certification provided by TTT).
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum three (3) years of hands-on practical, related work experience in welding is required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven, compliance-oriented educational environment.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized, and have the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity, strong work ethic, and professionalism.
- Persuasive and effective verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service in an educational setting.
- Highly motivated and goal-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as collaborative team member and have exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Excellent computer skills are required with proficiency in MS Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Exhibits a positive, team-oriented attitude by remaining flexible and available to work outside of scheduled hours when needed, as directed by the Supervisor.

- Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM, or 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Flexible schedule to complete 40 hours)
- Monday – Thursday: 1:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM, or 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Flexible schedule to complete 40 hours)
