Senior Technical Program Manager

Toast is looking for a seasoned Senior Technical Program Manager to drive end-to-end execution, efficiency, and cross-functional alignment for complex R&D initiatives. As a Senior TPM, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the full product delivery lifecycle for our most critical programs, establishing best practices, and delivering high-impact projects that align with our product and business technology objectives. This role demands a blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and hands-on program management, empowering teams to deliver on Toast’s ambitious roadmap.

Specifically, this role will focus on providing technical program management support for some of our most complex restaurant delivery initiatives, working with critical external partners.

• →7+ years of experience in technical program management, with a proven record of managing and delivering complex, cross-functional programs in a high-growth tech environment.
• →Deep background in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and strong technical fluency, enabling effective partnership with engineering teams.
• →Demonstrated experience with 3rd-party partner management/engagement and building strong, productive partnerships.
• →Solid experience defining and tracking project progress using industry-standard tools like JIRA.
• →Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with a history of effectively collaborating with technical, non-technical, and executive partners.
• →Proven ability to build strategic frameworks, standardize processes, and drive multiple programs to successful completion with a sense of urgency.
• →Adaptable and results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

• Food Tech Fluent: Possess a deep, intuitive understanding of food delivery technology, products, and systems.
• Certified/Tooling Excellence: Committed to best practices, maintaining key program management certifications (PMP, Agile, etc.).
• Strong familiarity with Financial Technology systems (e.g., NetSuite, Zuora, RevPro, Vertex) or Sales/GTM systems (e.g., Salesforce) , and experience partnering with middleware/integration teams.
• AI Enthusiast: Eager to leverage the power of AI and explore its potential in program management or the restaurant technology space.
