Location and working model

This is a remote-first role that can be performed from anywhere within South Africa, with optional access to the company’s Cape Town office for candidates who prefer a hybrid or office-based working environment.

This is an initial 12-month contract position, with the potential for longer-term opportunities as the function continues to evolve. Any extension or conversion to permanent employment will be subject to business needs and is not guaranteed.

Purpose and contribution to company strategy

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about all things creative. You will relish the opportunity to work with a leading international B2B company and play an instrumental role in growing and refining its brand and visual marketing. You will need to be able to understand the pulse of the organisation and translate it into visuals, from brand collateral and content through to campaign creatives and other key marketing content. You will be well versed in company brand strategy, comfortable with the functional aspects of critical digital technology and experienced in developing visuals and marketing assets suitable for web, social media as well as more traditional trade show stands and printed collateral.

You will also play a key role in evolving how the organisation uses AI-enabled creative tools, including experimenting with platforms such as Claude to scale high-quality, on-brand visual production while maintaining strong creative oversight and brand consistency.

You will ideally have experience within agency and/or in-house design environments and feel excited about the opportunity of working with an in-house marketing team.

The Creative Designer must be proactive, commercially minded and passionate about evolving and strengthening the company’s brand.

This role requires someone equally comfortable operating strategically and tactically - from shaping flagship thought leadership reports, executive keynote presentations and contributing to AI brand guardrails, through to delivering high-quality day-to-day assets such as event collateral, signage, social assets and lanyards.

The role has excellent scope to add value and make a positive impact on the business and the company’s growth marketing engine.

  • Translate compelling content & communication: Transform technical information into engaging, visually compelling marketing materials for different stakeholders.
  • Ensure project & stakeholder management: Work cross-functionally with corporate, regional marketing, and commercial teams to align branding and design efforts with business goals. Confidently manage competing requests, prioritise effectively and provide constructive challenge where requests are not aligned to agreed objectives or timelines.
  • Liaise with partners and agencies: Work with external parties to produce high-quality content while ensuring compliance with brand guidelines.
  • Enhance productivity and time management: Effectively manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing speed, quality and stakeholder expectations while ensuring timely delivery against business priorities.
  • Experiment with AI-enabled design workflows: Explore and implement new ways of using AI tools, including Claude and other creative technologies, to improve creative production, accelerate workflows and scale brand consistency across teams.
  • Contribute to and update AI design guardrails: Help define practical brand guidelines, templates and creative guardrails for AI-assisted content and visual production to ensure outputs remain aligned with brand standards and quality expectations.
  • Continuously explore new creative formats, tools and workflows to improve speed, scalability and effectiveness of marketing output.
