About the Role

We're looking for someone who has marketed a technical product to a sophisticated buyer. In this role, you will own pipeline numbers and hit them, build messaging that changed how a market understood a category, additionally grow a team without losing velocity. And you're excited about retail media because you see the infrastructure opportunity — not just the ad spend.

  • Own Topsort's narrative, positioning, and messaging architecture across all segments and personas
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into crisp, compelling value propositions for enterprise buyers (Head of Monetization, CTO, CPO) and mid-market operators
  • Drive product launches end-to-end — from internal alignment to market rollout
  • Design and scale a demand gen engine that generates qualified pipeline across both enterprise and mid-market
  • Own the full funnel: awareness, consideration, conversion — with clear attribution and reporting
  • Work closely with Sales to align on ICP, messaging, and pipeline targets
  • Build and optimize campaigns across paid, owned, and partner channels
  • Define and protect Topsort's brand voice and visual identity as we scale
  • Own thought leadership strategy — positioning Topsort and its leadership as voices in retail media and ad tech
  • Manage PR and earned media relationships; drive coverage in relevant trade and business press
  • Ensure consistency across all external touchpoints
  • Build and grow a community of builders, operators, and partners around Topsort's platform
  • Own developer-facing content and communications — docs, newsletters, product updates, community channels
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to create content that resonates with technical buyers and champions
  • Identify and activate community advocates and early adopters
  • Lead and grow a small marketing team; hire strategically as the function scales
  • Own the marketing budget and allocate for impact
  • Build the systems, tools, and processes that let the team move fast without breaking things

We’re open to candidates who don’t check every box but show strong potential.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in B2B marketing, with at least 2–3 years leading or co-leading a marketing function
  • Experience at a technical B2B SaaS or infrastructure company — you can hold your own in a conversation about APIs, SDKs, and product architecture
  • Proven track record across both enterprise and mid-market GTM motions — you understand the differences and can run both in parallel
  • Strong product marketing instincts — you can write a positioning doc, a one-pager, and a pitch deck and make all three land
  • Experience building or scaling demand gen programs with measurable pipeline contribution
  • Hands-on experience with brand, content, and comms — not just oversight
  • Has built or nurtured a developer or technical community (even informally) — a strong plus
  • Data-driven: you set targets, track what matters, and adjust fast
  • Exceptional writer and communicator, you'll be shaping how the world sees Topsort
