Key Responsibilities of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer – Finishing Processes and Technology:
- Perform all duties compliant with TPI policies and aligned to TPI values of safety, operational excellence, commitment, integrity, and leadership
- Understand internal and external customer requirements and manufacturing process KPIs and controls
- Execute engineering test plans to evaluate and down-select new technology or methods for a production environment.
- Analyze, interpret, and summarize data to support decision-making
Who we are looking for:
Ability to organize and manage multiple projects with a focus on safety, quality, cost, and attention to detail.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Effective interpersonal & communication skills for working with co-workers, vendors and customers.
A bias for action, and the drive to succeed as a team player in fast-paced setting.
Willingness to travel in US and Mexico (25%)
Education and Experience
B.S. degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or Engineering Technology required.
3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience required (composites or finishing operations experience preferred).
Experience with composite material processing and inspection preferred
Experience applying data analytics to manufacturing process improvement preferred.
Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) methods to monitor and improve finishing process quality and capability preferred.
Experience with AI or machine learning tools applied to manufacturing process monitoring, defect detection, or quality improvement preferred.
