The ERP Administrator plays a critical role in the administration, optimization, and support of Trail Appliances’ Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) environment. This position is responsible for the ongoing stability, security, and performance of the ERP system while ensuring seamless data flow and integration across the organization.

Working closely with business stakeholders, IT, and development partners, the ERP Administrator helps translate business processes into effective system solutions that support operational efficiency, data integrity, and informed decision-making. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and customer-focused communication.

  • Provide administrative and technical support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
  • Implement, configure, maintain, and optimize ERP solutions to ensure system efficiency, reliability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ERP issues including system errors, user access concerns, and functional challenges; escalate appropriately when required.
  • Deliver tier-1 support for D365 customizations and extensions, preparing detailed documentation for tier-2 and tier-3 escalations.
  • Manage ERP system security, configuration, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Design, architect, and clearly communicate solutions for complex system integrations, ensuring customization aligns with business requirements and best practices.
  • Monitor and maintain data quality by leveraging existing system controls, performing audits, and coordinating updates and patches.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and internal/external development partners to coordinate upgrades, enhancements, and security updates.
  • Support data migration activities, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security through established best practices.
  • Identify, analyze, and improve inefficient workflows and business processes.
  • Contribute to the development of database and data governance standards with the Development team and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Recommend system improvements to enhance performance, usability, and business value.
  • Create, maintain, and manage ERP system documentation, reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist with ERP licensing management in collaboration with vendors and business stakeholders.
  • Develop training materials, onboard new users, configure role-based access, and lead end-user training sessions as required.
  • Strong hands-on experience with enterprise ERP and/or CRM systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to analyze, document, and support complex business workflows in collaboration with Development and Project Management teams.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise applications, databases, networks, and patch management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively to meet timelines and budgets.
  • Working knowledge of IT security best practices and data protection principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a focus on supporting end users effectively.
  •  
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience as an ERP or CRM Administrator, particularly with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Experience supporting organizational change and system adoption initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and proactive problem-solving ability.
  • Relevant certifications such as Azure, Azure DevOps, Agile, or PROSCI.
