Job Summary
The main responsibilities of an Equipment Maintenance technician is to support heavy equipment service and assembly operations for the company’s product lines. Travel for field service operations at customer locations is required. Service operations includes operating company heavy equipment, mechanical and electrical diagnostic, and onsite repairs. Service technicians will also assist with module assembly, unit pre-shipment testing and shipment preparation.
Major Responsibilities
· Provide service and customer support during field visits.
· Utilize knowledge of equipment startup and testing procedures commonly associated with heavy equipment production.
· Diagnose errors, technical or mechanical problems, and determine proper solutions.
· Operate materials handling equipment, including forklift and overhead crane safely.
· Operate both manual and power equipment commonly utilized in a heavy equipment assembly operation.
· Conduct business in a professional manner at all times.
· Work in an efficient and timely manner.
· Assembly of major product components and finished equipment.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Minimum Qualifications
· Preferred: Associate degree or successful completion of automotive or heavy equipment training programs. Demonstrated experience will be considered in lieu of the above.
· Education: Completion of High School Diploma or GED is required.
· Experience: Minimum of one years’ experience in a large equipment assembly function preferred.
· Ability to communicate in technical and mechanical disciplines.
· Ability to remain organized in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
Work Period & Environment
· 40 hours/week. Overtime and weekends when approved by management.
· Travel for service or maintenance of customer owned units will be required.
· That travel will be identified on a case by case basis.
· Some customers or areas for travel require current vaccinations for onsite visits.
· Increased hourly pay rate during travel service operations provided on a case by case basis.
Personal and Attendance Requirements
· Must have reliable transportation, or arrangements to meet attendance requirements for the position.
· Must maintain a clean and professional appearance.
· Must have and maintain a clean driving record. An employee’s personal driving record may be reviewed prior to, and during employment with the company.
· Must be able to pass a background review prior to being accepted for employment by the company.

· 90-day probationary period from start date. Probationary period evaluation to be completed at the end of the period.

· After probationary 90-day period, accrued Paid Time Off (PTO) will become available for vacation, sick, jury duty, and company provided health insurance.
· Eligible for health insurance benefits after 60 days.
