The role:
This role focuses on improving logistics cost efficiency by conducting in-depth cost analysis, ensuring financial data accuracy, and supporting daily financial processes, with a strong emphasis on identifying variances, controlling spend, and recommending cost-saving initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze logistics costs (transportation, warehousing, deliveries, etc.) and monitor trends and changes
- Prepare regular reports on costs, KPIs, and performance, explaining key variances
- Review and reconcile carrier invoices, ensuring alignment with contracts and operational data
- Support budgeting processes and track actual costs versus plan
- Identify cost optimization opportunities and suggest practical improvements
- Analyze carrier pricing and support evaluation of partnership terms
- Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure accurate cost allocation and financial reporting
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
- Ensure data accuracy and quality across logistics systems
- Provide the Logistics team with insights and analysis
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives
Requirements:
- Strong Excel skills (data analysis, formulas, pivot tables)
- Experience in logistics, finance, or data analysis
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
- Understanding of cost structures, budgeting, and basic financial processes
- Ability to analyze data, identify variances, and draw conclusions
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Proactive mindset with a focus on improving processes
