Audio Visual (AT) Technician

Turner Staffing Group is seeking a skilled and dependable Audio Visual (AV) Technician to support the planning and execution of events by providing reliable audio-visual setup, operation, and troubleshooting services. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced event environments.

• → Set up, test, operate, and break down a wide range of AV equipment, including sound systems, microphones, projectors, screens, lighting, video conferencing tools, and recording equipment.
• → Conduct pre-event system checks to ensure all equipment is functioning properly and configured to event specifications.
• → Provide real-time technical support during events, including monitoring audio levels, managing presentations, switching video feeds, and resolving technical issues quickly and professionally.
• → Troubleshoot and repair minor technical issues with AV systems, coordinating with vendors or senior technicians for more complex problems when necessary.
• → Support hybrid and virtual events by managing streaming platforms, video conferencing tools (such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom), and live event feeds.
• → Collaborate closely with event planners, presenters, venue staff, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution.
• → Maintain inventory of AV equipment, including tracking usage, performing routine maintenance, and reporting repair or replacement needs.
• → Ensure all AV setups comply with safety standards, including proper cable management and secure equipment placement.
• → Assist presenters with slide decks, audio/video playback, and basic technical guidance to support successful presentations.
• → Adapt quickly to changing event requirements, schedules, and last-minute requests.

• Experience setting up and operating professional audio-visual equipment.
• Working knowledge of audio systems, video displays, projection equipment, lighting, and video conferencing platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as event needs require.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure in live-event environments.
• Ability to lift and move AV equipment and work on-site for extended periods.
