Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Traveling

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of mining mobile equipment. This role requires strong diagnostic skills, mechanical expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Candidates must be comfortable working extended 12-hour shifts and rotating between day and night schedules if needed.

• → Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy mining equipment including:
  • → Excavators
  • → Dozers
  • → Haul trucks (40-ton to 100-ton)
  • → Water trucks
  • → Motor graders
• → Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues efficiently
• → Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and servicing
• → Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes
• → Ensure all repairs meet safety and operational standards
• → Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• → Work collaboratively with operators and other maintenance personnel
• → Adhere to all company safety policies and MSHA regulations

• 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic (mining or construction)
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Experience working on large haul trucks and earthmoving equipment preferred
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment with minimal supervision
• Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Valid driver’s license required
