The Production Scheduler owns the production schedule and serves as the critical link between demand (sales, customer commitments) and supply (production, materials, and capacity). This role translates the demand plan into a feasible, stable build and delivery schedule over a rolling multi-week horizon, balancing customer service, inventory, and operational efficiency. The Production Scheduler operates at the planning level and works in close partnership with — but independently of — the operations/detail scheduling function, which executes daily work sequencing within the frame set by the master schedule.
