Under the direct supervision of the Finance Officer (NO-B) and in close coordination with PFP (Private Fundraising and Partnerships), this post is responsible for providing financial support to the office by monitoring and reporting on key financial aspects of the fundraising operation. The role also carries out critical PSFR (Private Sector Fundraising) related activities at the country level, including reconciling contribution receipts between ERP systems and PSFR bank accounts; preparing and submitting the monthly Country Office revenue report; supporting the preparation, submission, and reporting of work plans and budgets; and contributing to the interpretation and application of financial policies and procedures in support of country level fundraising operations.
The main functions/accountabilities are:
- Monitor income and expenditures against the annual workplan, ensuring accurate tracking, analysis, updating dashboards and timely reporting to management and headquarters.
- Contribute to resource mobilization efforts by supporting the preparation of financial data, impact reports, and analytical inputs required by regional and headquarters offices.
- Draft Private Sector Fundraising budget in regard to staff and non-staff costs and support the preparation of revenue forecasts.
- Monitor and report on fundraising contributions and allocations across funding streams, ensuring alignment with organizational commitments and cost-recovery mechanisms.
- Manage reconciliation of donation income across systems (e.g., VISION, Salesforce, bank accounts), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with financial and audit standards.
- Maintain and support management of local bank accounts related to fundraising, including documentation for account administration and liaison with banking institutions.
- Ensure proper interpretation and application of PFP financial policies and procedures, while contributing to strengthening internal controls and identifying potential risks.
- Lead monthly bank reconciliation processes, including preparation, posting, follow-up, and coordination with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely approvals and issue resolution.
- Support contribution management processes, including monitoring donations, coordinating grant creation, and assisting with fund allocation in ERP systems.
- Perform additional financial operational tasks as required to support effective and compliant fundraising operations.
- Minimum of six years of work experience in accounting or finance area.
- At least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable.
- Advanced skills in data analysis tools, Microsoft Excel and Power BI together with fluency in the use of Artificial intelligence tools.
- Experience in finance unit of fundraising companies/institutions will be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of SAP Systems will be considered an asset.
- Skills in artificial intelligence (AI) and professional experience in digitalizing financial tools will be considered a strong asset.
