Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of project activities, ensuring timely delivery of outputs related to recovery, resilience-building and Human Security in accordance with UNDP rules and procedures.
  • Facilitate coordination and implementation mechanisms involving government institutions, UN agencies, civil society organizations, affected communities, development partners and private-sector stakeholders, as applicable.
  • Coordinate implementation of national and regional workplans through stakeholder consultations, field missions and engagement with local authorities and partners.
  • Maintain planning, coordination and tracking tools to support implementation and monitor progress across project outputs.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with government counterparts, civil society organizations, organizations of persons with disabilities, veterans' organizations, service providers, development partners, private-sector actors and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct stakeholder mapping and analysis to strengthen coordination, participation and complementarity among project interventions.
  • Support coordination with national and local authorities, UN agencies, development partners and service providers through relevant coordination mechanisms.
  • Promote synergies with Japan-supported and other relevant initiatives related to rehabilitation, social services, accessibility, social inclusion and socio-economic reintegration.
  • Prepare briefing materials, meeting documentation and other communication products to support project implementation, partnership development and strategic engagement.
  • Monitor implementation progress against approved workplans, indicators and targets.
  • Support the development and application of monitoring, data collection and reporting tools and frameworks.
  • Identify implementation risks and bottlenecks and propose corrective actions and mitigation measures.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project, donor and analytical reports.
  • Coordinate with programme, finance and operations teams to ensure timely and compliant project delivery.
  • Support the organization of trainings, workshops, consultations and other capacity-development activities.
  • Develop knowledge products, analytical summaries and technical materials.
  • Document lessons learned, good practices and innovations emerging from project implementation.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing among stakeholders and contribute to advocacy and communication efforts.
  • Prepare policy briefs, analytical products and recommendations related to rehabilitation, social services, disability inclusion, accessibility and support to war-affected populations.
  • Contribute to the analysis of policies, legislation, strategies and institutional frameworks relevant to project objectives.
  • Support the development of methodological guidance, tools and practical resources to strengthen inclusive and accessible service delivery.
  • Ensure alignment of project activities with national priorities and relevant international standards.
  • Promote the integration of gender equality, social inclusion, accessibility, human rights and do-no-harm principles across all project activities.
  • Support meaningful participation of women, persons with disabilities, veterans, civil society organizations and other affected groups in project implementation and decision-making processes.
  • Apply inclusive and protection-sensitive communication approaches in line with UNDP policies and standards.
  • Contribute to a respectful, diverse and inclusive working environment free from discrimination, harassment, sexual exploitation and abuse.

The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Project and the organization.

Institutional Arrangement

The Project Analyst will work under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator-Inclusion and Accessibility and overall oversight of the Democratic Governance and Inclusive Social Fabric Team Leader.

Requirements

Min. Education requirements
  • An advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Social Sciences or other relevant fields is required; or 
  • A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas stated above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience, will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.

     

Min. yearsof relevant work experience
  • Applicants with a master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience. 
  • Applicants with a bachelor’s degree are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience at the national or international level in programme/project operations, procurement coordination, finance, and administration.

     

Desirable Criteria
  • Experience in project monitoring, reporting and implementation oversight, including administrative and financial support, results tracking, donor reporting and coordination with programme and operational teams to support effective project delivery.
  • Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives involving government institutions, civil society organizations, international organizations, development partners, private-sector entities, and community-based actors.
  • Experience organizing and facilitating trainings, workshops, consultations, or capacity-development activities for government counterparts, service providers, civil society organizations, or local communities.
  • Experience in supporting procurement planning and the full cycle of operational implementation.
  • Prior experience with UNDP or other UN agencies, international technical assistance projects or development programmes.

     

Required Language(s)

Fluency in English and Ukrainian is required.
