This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
- Focused work generating synthetic distribution feeders using Python and OpenDSS
- Direct contribution to power system resilience research
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Use the OpenDSS Python package to generate synthetic distribution power system models
- →Develop and execute Python scripts to create, parameterize, and validate realistic feeder configurations
- →Support data preparation, model customization, and output validation for resilience studies
Requirements
~1 min read- Able to work in-person (Grand Forks, ND)
- Enrolled undergraduate in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or related field
- Basic to intermediate Python programming skills
- Willingness to work with the OpenDSS Python package (opendssdirect or similar)
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
