About the Role

Supporting this goal, the Project Lead, Recruitment & Engagement plays a key role in advancing the University’s mission as a place-based institution with global relevance by leading complex, cross-functional projects aligned with strategic priorities. Reporting to the Manager, Future Students, the role is responsible for developing, implementing, and reviewing project plans and operational strategies, applying strong project management, data analysis, and evidence-based reporting to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement. The position suits a passionate individual keen to contribute to the University’s strategic goals and broader impact for Tasmania and beyond.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Develop, implement and review major project plans, frameworks and strategies aligned with the portfolio and University priorities.
- →Lead and manage complex projects and special initiatives that support strategic outcomes across Recruitment, Engagement & Marketing, ensuring delivery within scope, time and budget.
- →Apply and adapt established project management methodologies to address complex and emerging issues.
- →Lead cross functional working groups and manage activities using shared University resources to achieve agreed outcomes.
- →Conduct high‑level data analysis, monitoring and evaluation to assess program effectiveness, measure performance and inform evidence‑based decision-making.
What we’re looking for:
- →Relevant experience in project management, preferably within a higher education or complex organisational environment.
- →Demonstrated ability in leading and working effectively as part of a team.
- →Demonstrated experience in data analysis, performance monitoring, evaluation and evidence‑based reporting.
- →Strong organisation and time-management skills, together with a demonstrated ability to work with competing demands, prioritise work tasks, and be flexible in responding to changing work priorities.
- →High-level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently influence outcomes at all levels of organisations.
- Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $130,943 comprising base salary within the range of $101,821 to $111,917 plus 17% superannuation.
