Containers and Kubernetes are transforming how the U.S. Government builds and runs applications, and Rancher Government Solutions is at the forefront of this shift. RGS is seeking a hands-on Field Marketing Associate to support our rapid growth across federal markets.
In this role, you will develop and execute regional marketing plans, collaborate with sales and channel partners, and drive field-based lead generation campaigns—including trade shows, workshops, and executive dinners. The ideal candidate brings 3 to 5 years of event and field marketing experience in the federal tech sector, strong budget management skills, and a track record of aligning marketing initiatives with regional sales goals. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing.
Responsibilities

Develop and execute regional marketing strategies aligned with account-based marketing goals and sales objectives.

Collaborate with account sales teams and local channel partners to identify and capitalize on regional market opportunities.

Lead the planning and execution of field marketing activities, including trade shows, workshops, executive dinners, and regional Rancher Round-Up/Rodeo events.

Manage event lead generation workflows, ensuring data is accurately captured and processed into HubSpot and Salesforce.

Track, measure, and report on event ROI, project KPIs, and budgets, including processing invoices and vendor payments.

Customize marketing content and collateral to meet the specific needs of target accounts and local market trends.

Prepare pre-event briefing materials for attending teams and lead post-event debrief calls.

Manage event equipment inventory, storage, and shipping logistics to and from conferences.

Perform ongoing research on market opportunities, internal strengths, and competitor positioning.

Support or project-manage additional marketing programs and events as assigned.
Requirements
~1 min readBachelor’s degree preferred (focus on marketing or event management is a plus).
3–5+ years of event and field marketing experience; prior experience at a federal tech vendor or government agency is strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of HubSpot and Salesforce; proficiency in Google Workspace.
Strong understanding of event production, logistics, vendor management, and budget tracking.
Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines, handle logistics end-to-end, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, professional approach to working with cross-functional teams.
Ability to travel approximately 25% throughout the year.
