Sales & Brand Growth (Artisan Hospitality & Creative Brands)
Location: Remote (South Africa based, Cape Town preferred)
Salary: R20,000-R25,000 per month
Type: Full-time
Working Hours: UK business hours (approx. 08:00–16:30 UK time)
About Us
We are a small group of artisan-led, founder-driven businesses built on craftsmanship, creativity and genuine pride in what we produce.
Our brands include:
- A handcrafted wholesale bakery supplying the hospitality industry
- A creative studio space in a unique heritage setting
- An events-focused brand built on collaboration and experience
Everything we create is made with care, intention, and respect for quality. We do not operate as a mass-market business. We build relationships, not transactions.
We are now looking for someone who genuinely connects with this way of working. Someone who values craft, storytelling, and long-term relationships.
The Role
This is a Sales & Brand Growth role with a strong relationship focus.
You will represent our brands in the hospitality and creative industries, helping us build meaningful, long-term partnerships with clients who value quality and authenticity.
This is not a high-pressure sales role. It is a role for someone who understands how to introduce people to exceptional products and build trust over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and nurture relationships with hospitality and creative industry clients
- Introduce and represent our artisan bakery products to hotels, restaurants, cafés, and groups
- Conduct thoughtful outreach to potential partners aligned with our brand values
- Manage and grow a pipeline of meaningful long-term accounts
- Support bespoke product discussions and collaborative opportunities
- Communicate our brand story with authenticity and confidence
- Work closely with the founders to support brand growth direction
What Success Looks Like
- Long-term hospitality clients who value and return to our products
- Strong, trusted relationships built over time
- Sustainable and consistent business growth
- Clients who see us as a partner, not just a supplier
- Thoughtful expansion into aligned markets
Who This Role Is For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Naturally warm, personable, and relationship-driven
- Genuinely interested in food, hospitality, events, or creative industries
- Drawn to artisan, handcrafted, quality-led products
- Comfortable building relationships over time rather than chasing quick wins
- Confident in communicating brand stories with authenticity
- Self-motivated, organised and reliable in a remote environment
This role suits someone who values
meaningful connection over volume-based selling.
Who This Role Is Not For
This role will not suit someone who:
- Prefers fast-paced, aggressive, target-driven sales environments
- Focuses on transactional or high-volume cold selling
- Is motivated purely by commission without brand interest
- Does not enjoy relationship-building or long-term client development
- Is looking for a purely administrative marketing role
Experience
- Experience in sales, business development, hospitality, events, or artisan food is beneficial
- However, alignment with our values and communication style is more important than specific industry experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential
Working Arrangement
- Remote role based in South Africa
- Full-time role aligned to UK business hours
- Close collaboration with founders and leadership team
- High level of trust, autonomy and involvement in brand growth
Compensation
- Base salary: R20,000.00pm-R25,000.00pm
- Opportunity for growth based on contribution and alignment
A stable internet connection is essential, particularly during load shedding. This position supports our commitment to Employment Equity. In accordance with the Employment Equity Act, preference will be given to suitably qualified South African citizens from designated groups. Candidates must have legal authorisation to work in South Africa. The company reserves the right not to make an appointment
