Travel Medical Assistant - Statewide | Temp/Seasonal - Texas

Bring your MA skills to patients at home. We are hiring 3 Texas-based Medical Assistants to support Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and preventive care in the community.

• Location: Houston, TX
• Pay: $35 per hour
• Type: W-2 temporary/seasonal, non-exempt
• Project: Expected through January 2027. Extension may be possible but is not guaranteed.
• Hours: Variable based on patient volume and coverage needs. There is no guaranteed weekly minimum.
• Travel: Throughout Texas, with possible nearby-state travel when needed.

• →Complete scheduled in-home member visits
• →Support Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and other preventive-care activities
• →Take vitals, complete screenings, perform approved point-of-care testing, and document visits
• →Follow clinical, safety, HIPAA, and infection-control procedures

• Schedules are typically provided about two weeks ahead
• Mileage is reimbursed at $0.725 per mile between patient visits
• Eligible extended or overnight travel expenses are covered, including transportation, rental cars when needed, hotel, and meals
• Required out-of-state travel time is paid

• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience
• Medical Assistant certificate, diploma, or credential
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, current registration, and active auto insurance
• Comfort working independently in patients’ homes
• Ability to meet vaccination and TB/PPD onboarding requirements
• Willingness to travel throughout Texas with possible nearby-state travel when needed.

• Medicare Annual Wellness Visit, home-visit, or preventive-care experience
• Experience with A1Cs, UAs, specimen collection, or similar point-of-care testing
• Well-Child Visit, primary care, community health, or mobile-care experience
