Responsibilities

  • →Contribute to UX/UI design for active PSNA products, producing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes with guidance from senior designers. 
  • →Apply and help maintain the IDEMIA Design System and MUI components, ensuring visual and interaction consistency across deliverables. 
  • →Translate web-based experiences to alternate form factors (e.g., tablet and kiosk) where required. 
  • →Support the development and documentation of reusable UX patterns for the broader team. 
  • →Use AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Figma AI, AI prototyping and code-handoff agents) to accelerate ideation, generate and iterate on design variations, and build interactive prototypes, while critically evaluating AI output for quality, accessibility, and design-system fidelity.
  • →Build foundational skills in accessibility (WCAG, Section 508) and inclusive, responsive design; incorporate accessibility considerations into all work. 
  • →Maintain clean, well-organized project files with clearly labeled pages and frames. 
  • →Attend UX sprint planning, reviews, stand-ups, and design-system cadences; participate in agile ceremonies. 
  • →Shadow and assist the UX Researcher on at least one research initiative (e.g., usability test, internal or external interview, A/B test). 
  • →Manage assigned tasks and tickets using Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence). 
  • →Present progress and final deliverables at scheduled board reviews (kickoff, mid-point, and final presentation). 

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience. 
  • Working knowledge of design and prototyping tools such as Figma (primary), Sketch, or Adobe XD. 
  • Familiarity with core UX principles, usability heuristics, and human-centered design. 
  • Ability to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes at varying levels of fidelity. 
  • Awareness of accessibility principles and standards (WCAG, Section 508). 
  • Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, agile environment. 
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback constructively, and grow professionally. 
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted design or prototyping tools (e.g., Figma AI/Make, AI coding or design agents such as Kiro, Cursor, or Claude) and an understanding of their strengths and limits.
  • Prior internship, academic, or project experience in UX/UI design. 
  • Exposure to design systems and component-based design (especially Material UI). 
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to inform design feasibility. 
  • Interest in or exposure to designing for security, biometrics, or government/regulated products. 
  • Familiarity with responsive and multi-form-factor (web, tablet, kiosk) design.

Note: This is a hybrid role, you must be able to travel to the office.

 

The US hourly rate for this position is $25.
