About this role:
The Temporary Event Coordinator is responsible for support in planning and executing the upcoming World Golf Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, which will be held on Monday, July 12, 2027 in St Andrews, Scotland. This role will assist in delivering a world-class event honoring golf’s most distinguished figures, working closely with internal teams, vendors, Hall of Fame members and stakeholders in the lead up. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the marquee events in golf. This is a full-time, temporary position, beginning in August 2026 through July 2027.
What you'll do:
Support day-to-day planning, coordination, and project management of the Induction Ceremony
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and production teams to ensure alignment with event objectives, timelines, and deliverables
Assist in managing event logistics, including venue setup, transportation, accommodations, and catering
Support guest management processes, including invitations, RSVP tracking, and VIP experience coordination
Assist with Hall of Fame member and VIP travel; track expenses and receipts
Provide on-site event support, including registration, guest services and issue resolution
Assist in developing event materials such as run-of-show documents, briefing packets and signage
Support the planning and execution of the WGHOF selection committee meeting
Communicate updates and timelines across internal teams and external partners
Where you'll be:
This position can be based at our campuses in Liberty Corner, NJ, or Pinehurst, NC on a hybrid schedule. Employees are expected to spend 3 days per week working in the office. Remote candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis. This position also involves travel to the WGHOF induction ceremony in Scotland in July 2027.
What you bring:
Bachelors degree in relevant field
2+ years of experience in event planning, operations, communications, project management or a related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize tasks, coordinate multiple projects concurrently
Proven ability to work with a range of colleagues, clients and vendors
Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with team members
Professional demeanor and experience working with high-profile guests
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; event management software experience
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends in the weeks leading up to the event
Ability to travel and provide on-site presence in St Andrews, Scotland required during event
Golf knowledge or interest is preferred

Job Location: Liberty Corner, NJ
Salary Range: $55,000 - $58,000
The annual base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $58,000. This range represents what we reasonably expect to pay as starting base compensation for this role. Compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, depth of experience, and relevant certifications.
