Tax plays a critical role in scaling global digital businesses operating across multiple jurisdictions, payment ecosystems, and regulatory environments. In this role,
Manage international tax compliance across a group of companies operating in the EU and US in cooperation with local tax advisors
Oversee VAT, GST, and sales tax processes for digital products, including SaaS, subscription-based services, and B2C business models
Coordinate tax reporting, tax payments, and communication with tax authorities across multiple jurisdictions
Manage CFC reporting requirements and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
Analyze tax implications of new products, markets, payment flows, and business initiatives
Identify tax risks, develop mitigation strategies, and assess the impact of legislative changes on the business
Participate in the development of transfer pricing approaches, coordinate transfer pricing documentation, and analyze intercompany transactions
Support internal and external audits while ensuring accurate reflection of tax matters in financial and management reporting
Contribute to the optimization of the group’s corporate structure from a tax and operational perspective
Higher education in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Law
At least 3 years of experience in international taxation gained within Big4, an international group of companies, or a consulting firm
Strong understanding of VAT, GST, and sales tax in cross-border transactions, particularly within digital services, SaaS, subscription businesses, mobile applications, or B2C models
Practical knowledge of EU and/or US tax regimes
Strong understanding of double tax treaties, permanent establishment risk mitigation, transfer pricing principles, OECD guidelines, and the arm’s length principle
Experience working with CFC structures and transfer pricing matters
Understanding of IFRS principles related to taxation and tax liabilities
Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large volumes of financial data
English proficiency at B2 level or higher for reporting, communication with auditors, advisors, and financial institutions
Ability to make independent decisions and take ownership of outcomes
Strong systems thinking with the ability to understand relationships between jurisdictions, entities, and business operations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a professional environment
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure
Proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills
Experience coordinating tax reporting and VAT registrations in the EU and/or US
Experience preparing or coordinating transfer pricing documentation
Experience in FinTech, payment systems, or payment service providers (PSPs)
Practical experience with the Cyprus IP Box regime
Experience working with tax-transparent US LLC structures
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms
