About the Role

~2 min read- →Direct and coordinate the daily activities of Patient Access team members to ensure efficient workflow and high‑quality service.
- →Manage staffing schedules to ensure proper coverage across all shifts; provide onboarding, training, and ongoing staff development.
- →Oversee and support timely, accurate, and customer‑focused admission processes.
- →Serve as the primary liaison between internal departments and external partners, promoting streamlined processes and ensuring required documentation is obtained prior to service.
- →Explain admission‑related forms to patients, including conditions of admission, patient rights and responsibilities, advanced directives, and privacy practices.
- →Maintain strong knowledge of billing processes and managed care contracts to accurately explain patient benefits and financial obligations.
- →Address escalated patient questions or concerns with professionalism, empathy, and prompt follow‑through.
- →Communicate across departments to verify complete and accurate registrations; provide staff coaching and corrective actions when needed.
- →Assist with admitting patients for outpatient surgical and minor procedures.
- →Track and report patient satisfaction scores related to the registration function; recommend and implement improvements.
- →Assist with developing departmental goals and objectives and implementing policies and procedures.
- →Collaborate with the Manager of Business Operations to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance patient access efficiency and customer service.
- →Role model Just Culture principles and organizational values.
- →Maintain HIPAA compliance and perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
