About The Role 

The Security Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment for employees, visitors, contractors, and company assets. This position is responsible for monitoring site security, conducting routine patrols, supporting access control processes, and responding to incidents and emergencies as needed. The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, and committed to maintaining a strong security presence while providing excellent customer service. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct routine patrols and security checks of buildings, facilities, parking areas, and company property.  
  • Ensure visitor management and access control processes are followed, including verifying adequate coverage for visitor check-ins, badge distribution, and site access monitoring.  
  • Respond to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and safety concerns in a timely and professional manner.  
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities through accurate reports and logs.  
  • Support emergency preparedness efforts and assist with evacuations, medical incidents, and other emergency response activities. 

 

Basic Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.  
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.  
  • Ability to walk, stand, and patrol the site for extended periods of time.  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and remain calm in stressful situations. 

 

Preferred Skills and Experience 

  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military service, customer service, or a related field.  
  • Familiarity with access control systems, security cameras, and alarm systems.  
  • CPR, First Aid, or emergency response training (or willingness to obtain certification).  
  • Experience writing incident reports and maintaining accurate documentation.  
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify potential security or safety concerns proactively.
