As a Digital UI Designer, you’ll join the Experience Design team and help define how VanMoof shows up digitally. With our flagship e-commerce website as the foundation, you’ll own the UI that shapes the full digital journey, spanning our consumer flagship store, web-based service tools, and our B2B partner platforms.
We are looking for someone who brings a sharp eye for digital UI and visual systems, with the ability to elevate functional user journeys through brand-led design, grounded in UX principles, customer insight, and business objectives. You’ll work closely with the Web team’s developers, and business stakeholders to deliver experiences that are intuitive, accessible, and very much VanMoof.
What you’ll do
- Primarily design for our digital flagship store experience, while expanding and unifying the interface design for our web-based service tools and B2B Partner Hub.
- Translate brand vision, commercial goals, and customer needs into clear, expressive, web experiences.
- Take UX principles, insights, technical possibilities, and performance considerations into account to ensure designs are intuitive, usable and conversion-focused.
- Own the UI design end-to-end, from early concepts and visual exploration to build-ready handoff, working closely with developers to ensure quality of implementations
- Design and evolve on-brand digital systems, components, and patterns that scale across pages, campaigns, and touchpoints.
- Rapidly prototype to explore concepts and ideas to substantiate your design decisions.
- Advocate for craft, consistency, accessibility, and attention to detail across the web experience.
- Contribute to a people-focused design culture, collaborating across Brand, Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams.
What you’ll bring
- You have at least 3-4 years of experience in designing digital interfaces for consumer-facing brands, preferably in e-commerce or content-rich web platforms.
- Strong visual design skills with a sharp eye for typography, layout, composition, and detail that works in digital media.
- High proficiency in Figma, with a proven track record of building and maintaining scalable design systems that cater to different product needs.
- Proven ability to translate brand identity into digital UI.
- Solid understanding of UX principles, customer journeys, and conversion-driven design, without losing sight of brand expression.
- Confidence collaborating with brand, marketing, developers, and business stakeholders.
- You are well organized, and able to effectively manage, communicate and collaborate with stakeholders and users to define problems and deliver creative solutions.
- You can work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams, integrating diverse perspectives.
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates why you would be excellent for this role.
- For this role you will be based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
