We are looking for a Health & Safety Specialist to join our growing Team!
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Create and implement safety plans/programs in accordance with OSHA Standards.
- →Train employees in worksite safety practices by promoting and leading a site culture where safety is ingrained as a core value.
- →Perform safety inspections of the production floor.
- →Perform audits of the written safety program.
- →Investigates accidents and near misses. Provides corrective actions.
- →Perform JSA and LOTO assessments.
- →Trains new employees on JSA for their respective areas.
- →Maintain chemical inventory list.
- →Ensure SDS sheets are current and up to date for all departments in IQS.
- →Evaluate and assign all annual safety training needs for all VEGA employees.
- →Manage Safety Skills platform
- →Maintain OSHA 300A log, report electronically through OSHA annually.
- →Monitor subcontractors’ safety and compliance.
- →Prepare and present reports on safety metrics.
- →Ensure that employees consistently follow safety protocols.
- →Coordinate and run the emergency response team.
- →Manage direct seller PPE kits, Respirator Program.
- →Manage hearing conservation program.
- →Assist with annual fire and severe weather drills
- →Manage UniFirst first aid and safety cabinets.
- →Ensure all training is kept up to date for lift truck drivers, ERT, Respirators, Hearing conservation, etc.)
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or related field
- 3+ years of related experience
- or a combination of education and experience related to the position
- OSHA 30 Certification
