Seeking a full-time professional in Iraq, supporting Navigational Aids (NAVAIDS) Maintenance & Repair Support project. This position supports 24/7 aviation operations in a deployed environment and ensures safe, efficient, and compliant airfield operations while supporting mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and test radar systems supporting airfield and aviation operations.
- →Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with FAA, ICAO, DoD, OEM, and contract requirements.
- →Diagnose radar transmitter, receiver, antenna, display, power supply, and signal processing system faults.
- →Conduct calibration, alignment, performance verification, and operational testing of radar systems.
- →Monitor radar system performance and analyze equipment data to identify deficiencies and reliability concerns.
- →Install, modify, upgrade, and commission radar equipment and associated infrastructure.
- →Utilize oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and specialized test equipment for troubleshooting and fault isolation.
- →Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, configuration documentation, and technical logs.
- →Coordinate maintenance activities with Airfield Management, ATC, Operations, and other stakeholders.
- →Respond to radar outages and emergency service calls to restore mission-critical capabilities.
- →Support system modernization initiatives and technical improvements.
- →Support airfield operational readiness inspections and mission support activities.
Requirements
~2 min read- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have computer skills and be able to operate a variety of computer programs.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date.
- Must maintain a valid passport from their home country with validity for 12 months from the wheels-up deployment date to the site.
- Must satisfy and maintain all medical screening requirements.
- Ability to perform essential job duties in a deployed environment.
- Minimum 5 years of radar systems maintenance and repair experience.
- Associate degree, military technical training, vocational training, or equivalent experience in Radar Systems, Electronics, Avionics, or related field.
- Technical training or certification in radar, avionics, electronics, or related discipline.
- Experience with radar transmitters, receivers, antennas, signal processors, displays, and associated support equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, multimeters, and electronic test equipment.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting, calibration, alignment, and fault isolation experience.
- Experience supporting aviation, military airfield, FAA, ICAO, or defense systems preferred.
- Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Certified on the equipment/systems prior to being assigned work and performing maintenance and/or repair on defective equipment/systems.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs as required.
