The company is entering a new growth phase and is seeking a Chief of Gardener to lead the Gardener team 
Role Overview 
The Chief Gardener is responsible for the maintenance, and presentation of all landscaped areas within the Layan Verde sales office and Site Office garden. Direct a gardener team with instruction from Head of Landscape and ensures every landscape area reflects the project's commitment to tropical luxury living.
Key Focus Areas

• Develop and implement a detailed garden maintenance plan that includes weeding, pruning, planting, pest control, fertilizing, and watering to ensure that the gardens and grounds are always in excellent condition. 
• Maintain all garden beds, feature planting, water features, and landscaped walkways throughout the premises. 
• Ensure show gardens and arrival areas are immaculate and presentation-ready for client visits and sales events at all times 
• Supervise and mentor a team of gardener, coordinating daily tasks and regularly report to Head of Landscape. 
• Manage and maintain automatic irrigation systems, ensuring efficient water use appropriate to season and rainfall. 
• Identify and manage plant health issues including pests, disease, and nutrient deficiencies using environmentally responsible methods/tools. 
• Manage and maintain plants nursery, saplings stock, tools, material to be in good condition and stocks are ready to use. 
• Prepare monthly reports on plants condition, planting schedules and upcoming maintenance requirements for Head of Landscape. 
• Support staging of outdoor spaces for events, photography, and VIP site visits, including seasonal decorative displays. 

We Expect You to Have 

• Age 30-45 
• Minimum 5 years of experience in professional horticulture, landscaping, management, preferably within luxury residential or hospitality settings. 
• Strong knowledge of tropical and sub-tropical plant species, suited to Phuket climate and soil conditions. 
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing the gardeners team. 
• Familiarity with drip, sprinkler, and auto-irrigation systems. 
• Thai/Burmese language skills required; conversational English is an advantage. 
• Relevant vocational qualification in horticulture, agriculture, or landscape management preferred. 

Personal attributes 
Detail-oriented, keen eye for defects or changes in garden.
Working conditions 
This is a full-time, site-based position at the Layan Verde sales office, Phuket. The role requires early morning starts to ensure gardens are in pristine condition before the office opens. Weekend availability is required during sales events. Physical outdoor work in tropical conditions is a core part of the role.
