The School of Pharmacy (SOP) has a 127-year tradition beginning with the Medical College of Virginia and continuing to the present. Ranked in the Top 20 of Schools of Pharmacy nationwide, the SOP is dedicated to graduating outstanding future scientists and pharmacists who will develop new medicines and therapies, improve human health, foster exemplary research, and provide sustaining contributions to interprofessional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • →A Master’s degree (M.S., M.Ed., or related discipline), or an combination of education and equivalent professional training
  • →Excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, and time management skills
  • →Ability to handle multiple priorities and provide effective problem solving
  • →Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • →Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • →Ability to use good judgment and maintain confidentiality including knowledge of guidelines for handling sensitive information, familiarity with FERPA and other Federal requirements related to managing student information
  • →Ability to solve problems and make effective decisions in matters requiring immediate response
  • →Ability to work independently with minimal oversight or supervision, resolving concerns when possible before bringing to supervisor
  • →Adaptable to performing under moderate levels of stress, imposed by frequent deadlines, peak workloads, or public/student/faculty contact
  • →Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.

Requirements

  • Pharm.D., Ph.D., Ed.D., or other terminal degree in a related field

  • Experience working in higher education and/or experiential education settings

  • Working knowledge of CORE, Banner, Canvas and Google Workspace
