Software Engineer, QA (Crypto + Integration)

We are looking for a Software Engineer, QA (Cryptography and Integration) as part of Engineering – QA Department.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work closely with cryptography product owners, QA team, DevOps team and product engineers to be able to provide the right feedback to the team for V-Key products to be successfully implemented and integrated into the target mobile application
• Provide guidance to customers in terms of how the integration of the mobile SDK needs to be carried out such as documenting the right sequence of APIs, with right parameters for customers to refer to.
• Actively work with technical writing team in order to produce well documented steps for achieving successful integration on a specific mobile app development platform
• Be responsible for maintaining multiple code repositories for various mobile SDK wrappers and be able to make changes to them actively as the base product evolves over time
• Work with the Customer Success and Support team to be able to gather feedback on integration outcomes and be able to translate it back to product team engineers so that the product can be kept compatible with regard to customer needs
• Work with DevOps to actively maintain multiple QA testing DevOps pipelines, producing apps built with various frameworks using the same SDK in an automated way
• As part of your work, actively work with various engineering squads to debug errors, API calling (server team), crypto usage (crypto team), or core platform team, etc.

Requirements

Must have:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or other Natural Science/Mathematics major, or equivalent experience
• Min 2 – 3 years of experience in QA role.
• Good knowledge and willing to learn about mobile application development with strong enthusiasm.
• Familiar with API testing tools such as Postman, JMeter,…
• Ability and willingness to study new technology and methodology.
• Self-driven, able to create test cases based on ticket scope, and provide suggestions standing on stakeholder perspective.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Having knowledge of HSM (Hardware Secure Module) is a plus.
• Having knowledge of application deployment and management with Docker, JBoss is a plus.
• Have basic understanding of various Cryptography Primitives and their properties.
• Have knowledge of both symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic algorithms.
• Automation testing development experience (eg. Playwright) is welcomed.
• Knowledge of native mobile app development as well as cross platforms (i.e. Flutter, React Native, )
• Be able to learn any new development frameworks depending on the requirements and industry trends.
• Ability to integrate SDKs into sample applications to monitor the SDK behaviour inside integrated sample apps, and be able to publish them for parties to use.
• Excellent debugging skills are highly desirable as you will work on products that interact with multiple supporting components.
• Experience in mobile app automation testing on platforms like pCloudy, Browserstack, device farm would be a big plus.
• Having a passion for mobile security would be a big plus.
